The Karystianos Clinic in the crosshairs of MedWatch: “The device that was found is banned; I don’t know how they’re using it on children.”

What Maria Karystianou stated in her announcement

Matina Pagoni commented on MEGA about the biofeedback machine featured on Maria Karystianou’s website and the requirements for its use in a doctor’s office. The former president of EINAP argued that this specific device requires the necessary approvals, describing its use without them as “prohibited.”

“The machine that Ms. Karystianou has ‘flagged’ during the checks now being conducted in doctors’ offices using Med Watch. It is a biofeedback machine that helps the doctor monitor and control heart rate, blood pressure, breathing, etc. Now, I don’t know why Karystianou, who is a pediatrician, is using it. I don’t know how she uses it on children. To acquire this machine, you have to register it, obtain a license, and then operate it. We doctors don’t use this treatment; as for what Karystianou is doing, I don’t know. “This machine is not used by doctors. Any machine in a doctor’s office must be registered and approved by the medical association,” said Ms. Pagoni.

When asked to comment on whether it is dangerous to the patient’s health, following the uproar caused by the plasmapheresis machine that cost Giorgos Mazonakis his life, she clarified that “no, it is not dangerous to the body. It involves monitoring and checking the body. Electrodes are attached, and it records readings.”

Regarding the fact that it is not registered, Ms. Pagoni said that “the answers should come from Karystianou herself. So let her go get the test done and tell us how she uses it.”

It should be noted that Adonis Georgiadis announced on Monday morning that the news—that the Medwatch digital tool, which is used to monitor doctors for the advertisements and posts they make on social media, includes Maria Karystianou among its findings, was reported on Monday morning by Adonis Georgiadis.

“Ms. Karystianou is among Medwatch’s findings because she advertises herself as a ‘quantum doctor’—a term that does not exist in medical science—and she also has a ‘biofeedback machine’ that does not exist either,” the Greek Minister of Health told SKAI.

As he explained, “Ms. Karystianou is being investigated just like her other colleagues—not out of a desire for revenge,” clarifying that “any penalties will be decided by the medical associations.”

“Ms. Karystianou, as a doctor, is trying to sell an alternative treatment; the doctors will determine whether it could harm a child,” added Mr. Georgiadis, noting that “following the events (i.e., the death of Giorgos Mazonakis), we have adopted a stricter approach.”

“As for the political side, until the party made its announcement, he was like an Olympian deity. When we talked about quantum medicine, thousands would rush to defend her, and now those who once idolized her are asking us why we aren’t holding her accountable,” concluded Adonis Georgiadis regarding Maria Karystianou.

Maria Karystianou operates legally and has never done anything irregular or illegal, Maria Gratsia asserted in an interview with OPEN, though she did not respond clearly to Adonis Georgiadis.

Ms. Gratsia did not refuse the audit, which she described as “welcome,” but she generalized by saying that “it should apply to all individuals, including politicians, against whom—as we have repeatedly stated—there are indictments for felonies that are not being investigated, and for this reason, politicians are not being prosecuted or punished.”

As for whether the specific machine mentioned by the Minister of Health actually exists and whether Ms. Karystianou has the relevant permit, Ms. Gratsia did not provide a clear answer, merely stating that Ms. Karystianou “practices medicine entirely legally, no issues have arisen in her professional career, has not engaged in any irregular or illegal conduct, and her license and any equipment in her office will be inspected; therefore, there is no issue on our part.”

For her part, Maria Karystianou issued a press release responding to Mr. Georgiadis, though without providing clear answers. “Any investigation is welcome. But for everyone, Mr. Georgiadis. And first and foremost for the members of your government, who are weighed down by so many criminal case files buried in drawers,” she states, among other things.

Karystianos’ statement in full:

“The Minister of Health, Adonis Georgiadis:
Whom we all remember for the shelving of the case against him regarding Novartis, despite the unexplained transactions in his personal and family accounts, as well as in the accounts of companies in which he has a financial interest!
Who, in addition to being a bookseller, also promoted and sold “nano-vests” for treating pain and lower back pain—for 119 euros apiece, no less!
Who brazenly declared, regarding the alleged crimes of his government, that “we will decide whether we are guilty or not!
” The same man who, despite being Minister of Health, had inaugurated—alongside the President of the Athens Medical Association, Georgios Patoulis—a clinic dedicated to longevity, anti-aging, and wellness!
Who, on September 22 on the MEGA TV show *Smile Again*, while talking about medical clinics, said:

AMIDST THE GENERAL CHAOS IN THE COUNTRY, NO ONE IS PAYING ANY ATTENTION!

Yes, this same Minister of Health—who ruthlessly asks journalists on air if they’ve smoked any pot before their show—is trying to undermine Maria Karystianou, as a doctor, with the aim of undermining her exemplary professional career.

This is the Mitsotakis government.

Anyone it cannot confront with political arguments—which it clearly lacks, since it is exposed on all fronts—it enlists the “system,” including the media, to make them disappear. By any means necessary.
We expect Mr. Georgiadis not to dodge the issue and to answer us:

  1. Whether criminal and disciplinary proceedings have been initiated against the public auditing bodies that inspected the medical practice of Messrs. Gakas and Theodoropoulos and found nothing amiss, leaving them free to operate it and even promote it at the 1st International Health Tourism Conference, in which Mr. Patoulis, as well as the then-Minister of Health, Mr. Plevris, with whom both doctors had in fact jointly founded an association—the “HELLENIC MEDICAL COUNCIL.”
  2. In which medical service providers was the President of the Medical Association, Georgios Patoulis, involved?
  3. And, of course, he should disclose to us the full names of all the medical practices that were identified by their belated initiative —Medwatch—and, moreover, with full details, just as they took care to do specifically for the President of our Movement—Maria Karystianou.

Any investigation is welcome. But for everyone, Mr. Georgiadis.
And first and foremost for the members of your government, who are weighed down by so many criminal case files buried in their drawers.”
