A 44-year-old man was arrested Monday afternoon in Thessaloniki by officers from the Crime Prevention and Suppression Division, against whom the White Tower Crime Investigation and Prosecution Division filed charges for rape and violation of domestic violence laws.
This followed a complaint filed by a 35-year-old foreign national, according to which, on Sunday afternoon, while she was inside an apartment in the city center with her 44-year-old estranged husband, he forced her, through the use of violence, to engage in sexual acts against her will; furthermore, he struck her in the face and prevented her from leaving the apartment.
