A Turkish man was arrested in Thessaloniki on charges of fraud and drug offenses; he was wanted under a red notice

The 31-year-old had also evaded the Greek authorities in the past

According to reports, the red notice concerned the offenses of “forgery of an official document, the purchase, acceptance, possession and use of narcotic or psychotropic substances for personal use, the cultivation of cannabis for the purpose of obtaining cannabis for personal use, simple intentional bodily injury, threatening to use a weapon, intentional bodily injury, theft of property secured by a lock, intentional bodily injury, and trespassing,” offenses for which he had been sentenced to a total of twelve years, thirty-three months, and thirty days.

The 31-year-old Turkish national, who has previously come to the attention of Greek authorities for offenses involving drug possession, illegal possession of firearms, and illegal entry into the country, will be brought before the competent prosecutor’s office.
