It is said that she was the one who set up the appointment with the sleep therapist

A woman has come under scrutiny in the investigation into the death of Giorgos Mazonakis.

As reported by Mega, authorities have identified a woman believed to be significant to the investigation into the contacts Giorgos Mazonakis had a few days before his death.

She is a woman from Giorgos Mazonakis’s professional circle who, according to the same sources, is said to have contacted the hypnotherapist twice by phone. According to the same reports, the two phone calls were not merely casual contact but were related to scheduling the hypnotherapist’s meeting with Giorgos Mazonakis. This particular woman is alleged to have been the one who arranged the appointment, a fact that has piqued the interest of the investigating authorities.

Furthermore, it appears that George Mazonakis himself did not speak directly with the sleep therapist by phone regarding this specific meeting. The communication appears to have taken place through a woman from his professional circle. In fact, reports indicate that this woman was persistent in her efforts to arrange for the artist to meet with the hypnotherapist. This detail is expected to be examined in conjunction with the rest of the communications and evidence gathered as part of the investigation.

What the hypnotherapist will tell the investigating judge on Monday

At the same time, the sleep therapist’s testimony is considered significant; he is expected to appear before the investigator next Monday, September 21.

According to information from Mega, he is set to present a detailed timeline with the exact sequence of events day by day, including the two phone calls he received from the woman (George Mazonakis’s girlfriend), as well as all the messages he exchanged with the 56-year-old doctor, who is currently in custody, during the critical hours on Wednesday, the day the beloved singer died.

She is also expected to discuss the meeting she had with Giorgos Mazonakis on Monday, September 7, at a restaurant in Psychiko, while regarding their meeting on Wednesday, September 9, he is expected to discuss a questionnaire he planned to give the singer to determine whether hypnotherapy would be beneficial for him.

The hypnotherapist has admitted that he had known the 56-year-old doctor for some time, but denies that he referred clients to her; in fact, he claims that the opposite was true, namely that the 56-year-old was referring clients to him.

Regarding the message he sent to the doctor on that fateful day, he maintains that he did so to confirm the scheduled appointment with George Maznoakis, with the 56-year-old reportedly replying that everything was fine and sending him a photo of George Mazonakis while he was undergoing phlebotomy.

Investigation into illicit funds involving the two doctors

Meanwhile, the Anti-Money Laundering Authority’s investigation into the two doctors—who have been remanded in custody in connection with the death of Giorgos Mazonakis—is ongoing.

Their entire financial activity is reportedly under scrutiny by the investigative authorities, with the Authority’s president, Charalambos Vourliotis, reportedly examining all available data.

As reported by Star on its main newscast, the first step will be a complete inventory of their assets, so that they can then determine, after appropriate cross-checking, whether all of this came from lawful activities or if it involves illicit funds.

According to reports, there is information that has not yet been made public, which is likely unrelated to their medical practice but rather to their business activities.

The Authority, according to the same reports, will investigate everything, even the infamous €200,000 watch. And that’s not all. They’ll check their real estate, including the rental property in Psychiko and the one in Agia Paraskevi, as well as their cars, their two medical offices, medical equipment, handbags, paintings, and anything else of value.

They will also investigate whether receipts were issued for the clinic, which was also used as a venue for seminars.

Furthermore, the Authority is awaiting information from both the Medical Association and the Public Prosecutor’s Office regarding the much-discussed price list for appointments and partnerships with pharmacies.

Subsequently, the competent authorities may proceed to freeze assets and bank accounts.
