Three minors have been identified in connection with the assault that a 12-year-old boy reported suffering last Saturday afternoon at the “Alkis Kampanos” soccer field, in Nea Efkarpia, Thessaloniki.
According to the police, the three are the same age as the victim, and charges have been filed against them for causing bodily harm to a minor. The case file is expected to be submitted to the Thessaloniki Public Prosecutor’s Office.
As revealed by the investigation conducted by officers from the Pavlos Melas Police Station, the incident appears to have been triggered by personal disputes. The perpetrators “attacked the minor, using physical violence, and after he fell as a result, he struck his head on a gate,” according to a statement from the Hellenic Police. The victim is being treated at the “G. Gennimatas” Hospital and is out of danger.
