The “ELPIS” Hospital has responded to the allegations made in recent days regarding the time of George Mazonakis’s death, categorically refuting reports and social media posts alleging that a phone call was made to alter the singer’s recorded time of death.
In their statement, the hospital’s president and director make it clear that there was no communication or intervention directed at them to alter the records, emphasizing that determining and recording the time of death is exclusively a medical responsibility.

“In response to media reports and social media posts containing allegations of a phone call made to the “ELPIS” with the aim of changing the recorded time of a patient’s death, we wish to clarify the following:
These specific allegations do not correspond to reality and are categorically refuted.
We declare that we, the President and the Hospital Administrator, did not receive any telephone calls or any other form of intervention intended to alter the recorded time of death.
The determination and recording of the time of death are exclusively a medical responsibility and are carried out by the appropriate medical staff, in accordance with established procedures and applicable law.
We urge everyone to provide accurate information and to avoid spreading inaccurate information.
