A new tragedy involving the death of a mother who had just given birth has come to light. Just a few days after the death of a 36-year-old doctor from Mytilene, who died from complications following childbirth, a second case of a woman’s death was reported just a few hours after giving birth.

The victim was a 34-year-old woman from Livadeia who already had one child and was admitted on Tuesday (June 23) to the Livadeia Hospital to give birth to her second child.

A few hours after giving birth at Livadeia Hospital, the 34-year-old new mother experienced complications, and it was deemed necessary to transfer her to Thriassio Hospital. The mother was transported to Thriassio Hospital in critical condition, suffering from hemorrhage and showing signs of septic shock, where she passed away shortly thereafter.

This latest tragedy comes just a few days after the death of a 36-year-old doctor in Mytilene, who died from complications following a normal delivery, plunging the local community into mourning. It is recalled that the unfortunate mother gave birth last Friday (June 19) and developed complications on Saturday (June 20). On Monday (June 29), she was transferred to the intensive care unit (ICU) at Vostaneio Hospital, and due to the critical nature of her condition, it was deemed necessary to transfer her to a hospital in Athens. On Tuesday (June 23), the 36-year-old woman was airlifted to Athens but died a few hours later.’
