Three people were killed in a car accident that occurred in the early morning hours in central Athens.
According to reports, the accident occurred around 1:30 a.m., at the intersection of Moustoxydis Street and Alexandras Avenue, when two motorcycles collided with each other and then struck a parked car.
Three people, all passengers on the two motorcycles, lost their lives in the violent collision.
According to initial reports, the victims were a 51-year-old man, a 27-year-old woman, and another woman whose identity has not yet been disclosed.
EKAV ambulances arrived at the scene, picked them up, and transported them to the Red Cross Hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
The Traffic Police are conducting a preliminary investigation into the exact circumstances of the accident, and, according to reports, the three individuals were not wearing helmets, and the rider of one of the motorcycles may have run a red light.
