Scenes of violence unfolded early Sunday morning at a nightclub in Patras, when an employee of the establishment was attacked and seriously injured.
According to reports, the incident occurred when two foreign nationals attempted to enter the club. Under circumstances that remain unclear, a heated altercation ensued with the person in charge of the entrance.
According to tempo24.news, one of the two men pulled out a screwdriver he was carrying and attacked the employee, striking him repeatedly.
The man was stabbed a total of nine times and was rushed to the hospital, where he remains hospitalized.
Despite his injuries, he reportedly fought back and tried to defend himself by punching the assailants.
Police rushed to the scene and arrested the two foreign nationals. The suspects are expected to appear before the Patras prosecutor today.
