Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the tragedy in Veroia, where the 18-year-old lost her life at the Dermata Waterfall, near the village of Rizomata in Veroia, are being investigated by the authorities.
Among other possibilities, they are examining the possibility of medical causes, meaning that the 18-year-old may have encountered a problem in the water or suffered an injury, causing her to lose consciousness and be unable to return to the surface.

At some point, according to the information available so far, the two young people went into the water, but the 18-year-old was unable to resurface. Her boyfriend, realizing she was missing, immediately called 112 and asked for help.
A large contingent of firefighters was dispatched to the scene, and divers from the 2nd Special Rescue Unit (EMAK) also joined the operation, launching a search to locate her.
After several hours of searching, the divers located the 18-year-old, who was unconscious, and pulled her from the water.
The young woman was taken to the hospital, where, unfortunately, she was pronounced dead.
The waterfall is a well-known spot for locals and visitors to the area; it is located a short distance from the village, and many people go there to swim. The investigation is ongoing in order to shed light on all aspects of the case and provide answers to questions regarding the circumstances under which the 18-year-old’s life was so unjustly lost.
