Jamie Carney, a 43-year-old woman from New York, met a violent death after being beaten to death in her home in Ireland.
The 43-year-old woman from New York was found dead in her bed on Tuesday afternoon by her 13-year-old daughter.
According to police sources, Carney’s body was found under a blanket, while the room was covered in blood; the 43-year-old had fatal head injuries resulting from abrutal attack
The prime suspect in the 43-year-old’s murder is her 28-year-old immigrant partner, Ahmad Alsaker, whom Carney had met at a pro-Palestine march.
Al-Saker reportedly boarded a bus to Dublin on Tuesday morning—before Carnie’s death was discovered — from where he boarded a flight to Istanbul; police investigating the case are examining his possible contacts in both Turkey and France, where he had previously resided.
Police are investigating the possibility that the 28-year-old’s final destination was Syria or Jordan.
Alsaker, who arrived in Ireland in 2024 to apply for asylum, is believed to have also lived in the United Kingdom before arriving in Dublin.
In her last Instagram post on July 4, Carney celebrated the U.S. Independence Day with Alsaker by her side. “Happy 4th of July to everyone,” wrote the 43-year-old.
In other social media photos from previous months, Alsaker wrote about Carney with captions such as “I am his flower/warda and he is my moon/qamar” and “I’m learning Arabic.”
