The murder of a mother of five in Texas has sent shockwaves through the state; she was stabbed in the middle of the street by two young sisters, and the motive for the crime has not yet been determinedmotive for the crime.
What was even more infuriating was that when police arrested 19-year-old Amaya Kuki Diaz and 21-year-old Kitty Mia Diaz in the city of Del Rio, near the border with Mexico, one was smiling and the other was putting on a show for the cameras.
The video shows the 19-year-old smiling while handcuffed for the murder of 32-year-old Caroline “Caro” Penya, and shortly afterward, the 21-year-old was laughing and shouting, “Stop filming me.”

The mother of five fought for her life
A friend of the victim described how the 32-year-old fought for her life during the ambush set up by the two sisters and their friend, who are being held on $15 million bail
In a photo posted on social media but deleted after the 32-year-old’s death, the woman had blood on her shirt, while, according to her friend’s description, “the three girls are in front of her and have surrounded her.”
Eyewitnesses said that prior to the fatal attack on the 32-year-old mother of five children aged 3 to 17—two of whom have special needs— there had been no altercation with the three women who were arrested.
It should be noted that one of the three young women arrested is also the mother of a young child, and her 32-year-old friends are wondering, “Why would one mother do this to another mother?” She’ll still be watching her son grow up through the glass, while Karo’s children will have nothing but a headstone.”
