The U.S. military announced that it had “successfully” completed the airstrikes it launched for the ninth consecutive night in Iran at 10:00 p.m. (Washington time; 5:00 a.m. Cyprus time today), specifying that it targeted, among other things, command centers and telecommunications networks.
The nighttime strikes “targeted Iranian military command centers, air defense and coastal surveillance facilities, maritime capabilities, missile and drone launch facilities, as well as communications networks, in order to further reduce Iran’s ability to attack commercial vessels and civilian maritime personnel transiting the Strait of Hormuz,” stated, via X, the Joint Command of the U.S. Armed Forces responsible for the Middle East (CENTCOM, “Central Command”).
