The Iranian Revolutionary Guards announced on Monday that they had targeted U.S. military aircraft stationed at an airport in Aqaba, in Jordan, “causing serious damage to many of them,” according to Iranian state television.
Transport and early-warning and control aircraft belonging to “the invading U.S. military” and were located “at Aqaba Airport” were targeted by “ballistic missiles, resulting in serious damage to many of them,” the Islamic Republic’s ideological army asserted in a statement cited by the IRIB network.
Furthermore, the Revolutionary Guards announced that they had intercepted two tankers as they attempted to cross the Strait of Hormuz without permission from Tehran, in “unauthorized” manner, according to Iranian state television and the Tasnim News Agency.
“Late last night, two oil tankers attempting to enter and exit the unsafe and dangerous southern route of the Strait of Hormuz were blown up and immobilized,” according to their statement, as cited by IRIB and Tasnim.
