A British man pleaded guilty to 32 counts of sexual abuse, including rape, against his partner, who was drugged or asleep, over a period of ten years.

This case, the most recent in Britain, is strongly reminiscent of that of Dominique Pelico. His ex-wife, Gisele Pelico, became a global symbol against sexual violence after she spoke publicly about the rapes she endured while she was drugged, by dozens of men recruited by Dominique Pelico online.

The British man, who is about 40 years old and whose identity has not been disclosed for legal reasons, could be sentenced to life in prison. On Tuesday, he appeared in court in Northampton, in central England. He is accused of raping and sexually assaulting his partner while she was under the influence of medication, as well as of videotaping his actions.

In ten of these instances, between January 2014 and September 2025, he “collaborated with an unknown individual,” the court stated. The number of people involved in the case was not disclosed during the hearing.

The British man’s defense attorneys deny that the victim was drugged, but the prosecution argues that in all instances, the woman was unable to resist due to the drugs she had been given.

His sentence will be announced on September 18, but Judge David Herbert has already warned today that a harsh sentence is “inevitable.”

Many investigations are currently underway in Britain into similar cases. In Stockport, the husband of a woman whom he drugged and raped will stand trial in September, along with 12 other men who participated in the abuse. In January, a British man pleaded guilty to drugging and raping his ex-wife over a period of 13 years. Five other men are accused of sexually abusing this woman, and four of them have pleaded not guilty. The victim in this case, Joan Young, decided to waive her right to anonymity, following the example of Giselle Pelico.
