One person was killed and ten others were injured—seven of whom are in critical condition and three in serious condition—when a car deliberately ran over pedestrians outside a bar, across from the train station in the city of Cannes in western France, on Wednesday night.
According to police sources, the fatal incident occurred around 10:15 p.m. (local time) following an altercation. The driver of the vehicle initially fled the scene but was arrested shortly afterward in the town of Ouistreham, about 20 kilometers from the site of the attack, and taken into custody.

The investigation is ongoing, with authorities reviewing footage from security cameras.
