Meanwhile, the United States has urged its citizens in nine Middle Eastern countries to exercise heightened vigilance, as clashes between Saudi Arabia and the Houthis in Yemen could escalate rapidly.
The U.S. embassies in Lebanon, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, Qatar, Iraq, Israel, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey have issued urgent security warnings for U.S. citizens in the Middle East following the escalation of regional tensions.
The security environment remains complex, and the risk of unpredictable escalation remains real, the statement notes. U.S. authorities even assess that the military confrontation between the Houthis and Saudi Arabia could “escalate rapidly.”
At the same time, citizens are being warned of possible flight cancellations, airspace closures, and broader disruptions to air travel.
