The speaker of the Iranian parliament and head of the Iranian negotiating team, Mohammad Bayer Galibaf, threatened to carry out attacks on energy infrastructure if sales of Iranian oil remain blocked, the Iranian state news agency IRNA reported today, while the Iranian Revolutionary Guards called U.S. President Donald Trump a “big liar.”
“The United States and other countries must know that (…) in a region where we cannot sell oil, no one will sell oil. If there is no guarantee of our security, no infrastructure will be safe,” Galibaf said in a video.

Galibaf was responding in this way to a speech by U.S. President Donald Trump last week at the UN General Assembly, during which he once again threatened to deal a heavy blow to Iran.
Meanwhile, a spokesman for Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said today that Donald Trump is a “big liar,” citing the U.S. president’s statements on nuclear weapons and other issues.
“The American people need to know the truth,” said Hossein Mohammadi, adding that the United States has failed in its military campaign against Iran and must leave the region.
