The remains of Iran’s former supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, who was killed in the early hours of the U.S.-Israeli bombings of the Islamic Republic, on February 28, were transported to a religious complex in the center of the capital, Tehran, where his funeral will be held, the state news agency reported today.

“The body of the martyred leader of the Islamic Revolution has arrived at Imam Khomeini’s Grand Mosalla,” reported the official IRNA news agency via Telegram, using the official name of the place of worship where the funeral is scheduled to take place.
