A 7.4-magnitude earthquake struck off the western coast of Mexico today, according to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).

The focal depth is estimated at approximately 10 kilometers, while the epicenter is located in the sea 71 kilometers southwest of Puerto Madero, in the state of Chiapas.
The earthquake was also strongly felt in neighboring Guatemala.
A tsunami warning has been issued.
