A train derailed today in eastern England without causing any injuries, according to the British Transport Police, This is the second accident of this kind following a derailment yesterday afternoon, in which two people were seriously injured.
“Officers are currently at the scene, at Wickford Railway Station, in Essex, after receiving reports that the rear cars of a train had derailed but remained on their sides,” the police wrote on X.
Ambulances and fire trucks were dispatched to the area; however, according to the Ministry of Transport, there were no injuries.
Greater Anglia, the company that operates the rail network, reported that service has been suspended on the line connecting London with Essex in eastern England.
Yesterday, a train traveling between London and southeastern England derailed near the town of Lewes. Three cars overturned.
Two passengers were seriously injured in the accident, but their lives are not in danger. Eighteen people also received first aid at the hospital for less serious injuries and were soon discharged.
