A carefree moment of fun during his vacation turned into a tragedy for a 39-year-old father of three in Turkey.
Arif Erman lost his life in the Alanya region of Antalya when he jumped from a hotel pier into the sea, unaware that the water was extremely shallow at that spot.
Security cameras captured his final moments. The video shows the 39-year-old approaching the end of the pier, running up to it, and diving headfirst, despite warning signs stating that diving was prohibited due to the conditions.
But instead of landing in deep water, he struck the bottom, as the depth at that spot was only about half a meter.
