The capital of Ukraine was attacked by Russian missiles this afternoon, though no injuries or damage have been reported so far.
Mayor Vitali Klitschko, in a post on Telegram, said that the air defense system has been activated. Residents cited by Reuters said they heard explosions in the city. The air raid alert ended after about 40 minutes.
In Odessa, in southern Ukraine, the governor of the Odessa region, Oleks Kipper, said that Russian forces launched two strikes on the city center, with the second occurring just as rescue crews had already rushed to the scene.
Kipper said that 10 people were injured, while a vehicle and an administrative building sustained damage. Photos on Telegram show firefighters battling a blaze in a high-rise building.
