Scenes of panic unfolded in India, when a wild leopard burst into a liquor store and attacked an employee, with security cameras capturing the fierce attack frame by frame.

The incident occurred in the Todaraisingh area, when the wild feline—which had already caused a stir in the city— suddenly burst into the store and attacked the 25-year-old employee.

The video shows the leopard leaping into the store and attacking the young man, who is desperately trying to defend himself. For a few dramatic seconds, the two wrestle hand-to-hand, until the 25-year-old manages to push the animal away, get behind the counter, and run out of the store.

Before running off, he managed to lower the metal roller shutter, trapping the leopard inside the store.

The wild animal continued to move nervously around the space, knocking boxes and bottles onto the floor, before finally hiding under the counter.

It had attacked three people

According to local authorities, the same animal had also attacked a forest ranger earlier that morning, who had rushed to investigate reports from residents about the presence of a leopard in the area.

A total of three people were injured, while authorities cordoned off the area around the store and evacuated the central market for safety reasons.

A five-hour operation ensued, involving wildlife experts, who eventually managed to subdue the animal with a tranquilizer dart.

The 25-year-old employee sustained injuries from the leopard’s claws on his hand, shoulder, and nose, while the other two men were also injured during the attacks.

According to officials, the leopard is a male approximately five years old, who will undergo veterinary examinations before being returned to its natural habitat.
