New shocking footage from security cameras inside a school on the outskirts of Bangkok, where on Friday morning (August 7) a 14-year-old student opened fire and killed five teachers; earlier, according to authorities, he had murdered his grandparents at their home, has come to light. More than 20 people were injured in the armed attack, 10 of whom are in critical condition. The death toll rose to nine today after a 12-year-old girl succumbed to her injuries, police announced.
According to BBC reports, the 14-year-old’s main targets were the school’s teachers, as there are no students among the victims. The armed attack lasted about an hour before the teenager took his own life by shooting himself. He was taken to the hospital with injuries but died on the way.

The attack took place shortly after 10 a.m. on Friday, local time, at Debsirin Nonthaburi School, which is located in a large urban, residential, and commercial area north of Bangkok.
He first killed his grandparents at home
Investigations by authorities revealed that the 14-year-old lived with his grandparents, who were found dead in their home. Authorities believe the student killed them before going to school and opening fire on the teachers.
The 9-millimeter pistol he used belonged to his grandfather, according to police. According to the same reports, at least 34 additional rounds of ammunition were found in the 14-year-old’s possession.
