Anastasia Berezovska, the woman who was considered a suspect in the parcel bomb attack in Monaco, was found dead with gunshot wounds to the head, which had injured a Ukrainian multimillionaire holding a Cypriot passport who was subject to sanctions, as well as members of his family.
The 39-year-old Ukrainian woman had become the focus of an international investigation, as authorities believed she had fled the principality after planting an explosive device at the entrance to an apartment building on June 29, according to the BBC.

Her Return to Ukraine and the Two Suspects
As announced by the SBU, the 39-year-old returned to Ukraine on July 1, two days after the attack in Monaco. There, she reportedly made contact with her family, as well as with two men: a former police officer and a serving officer of the Central Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense.
The two men were initially investigated as possible accomplices in the attack in Monaco, as, according to authorities, they had made repeated money transfers to Berezovska’s bank accounts and cryptocurrency accounts.

Subsequently, the intelligence officer reportedly confessed to her murder, claiming that he carried it out together with another suspect.
The “torture chamber”
The case took an even darker turn when, during a search of the former police officer’s home, authorities discovered an underground space that “resembled a torture chamber.”
“Both suspects were taken into custody on suspicion of premeditated murder committed by a group of individuals.”
The investigation is ongoing.
Timeline of the Explosion in Monaco
Monaco’s deputy prosecutor, Morgan Raymond, stated that Berezovska had spent days surveilling the residence and that during the attack last Monday, she was “disguised as a man.”
Authorities believed that Berezovska had fled in a rental car to Italy and then on to Germany. There, special forces conducted a search on Thursday of an apartment rented by a 39-year-old Ukrainian woman who, according to the police, “was on the run” in the state of Hesse.
On Friday, Interpol issued a Red Notice for her, informing police authorities worldwide that she is wanted as a fugitive for attempted murder, placing an explosive device in a public place with criminal intent, and participation in a criminal organization.
