An incredible rescue operation is underway in Nepal, where yet another worker has been pulled alive from an underground tunnel at a hydroelectric project, ten days after the devastating floods that struck the country.
The third worker was located and rescued on Friday in the Rasuwa region, near the Trisuli River, in one of the most difficult operations carried out since the disaster.

Her rescue came just a few hours after two more workers were freed from the same location, bringing to three the number of people who managed to survive inside the tunnel.

Rescue teams had to create a special passage to the tunnel by drilling a shaft and even using controlled explosions to clear obstacles.
The workers were located about 180 meters inside the hydroelectric project’s tunnel, which had been flooded and blocked by tons of mud and debris.
The operation was described as extremely difficult, as rescuers had to maneuver in a confined space, with water and unstable areas inside the facility.
Another Rescue from a Flooded Home
Alongside the operation in the tunnel, authorities announced that a woman was rescued from a home in the Nouakot area, one of the regions hardest hit by the floods.
The torrential rains caused widespread destruction, including landslides, damage to infrastructure, and entire areas remaining cut off.
Hundreds Missing at Hydropower Projects
The situation remains dire in many parts of Nepal, as authorities estimate that approximately 900 workers at 12 hydroelectric projects are missing.
Of these, about 500 people are believed to be trapped inside tunnels, as the floods caused collapses and blocked the exits.
Rescue teams are continuing their search, hoping to locate other survivors, despite the fact that many days have already passed since the disaster.
