Germany is funding 50,000 attack drones for Ukraine, said a source familiar with the matter, in an order that marks one of the largest drone purchases widely known to have been made for Kyiv by a Western government.

Ukraine has relied heavily on a range of unmanned aerial systems during its war against Russia, which has lasted for more than four years, while producing millions of drones annually, as Ukrainian military forces carry out thousands of drone strikes every day.
