Two people were killed by Russian strikes in Kyiv and Zaporizhzhia on Friday night into Saturday, according to Ukrainian officials.
The military command of the Ukrainian capital issued an alert regarding a Russian ballistic missile attack. Later, it reported via Telegram that a fire had broken out at a warehouse, where “according to initial reports, there is one fatality and several injured.”
In Zaporizhzhia, in the southeast, one person was killed and four others were injured in a Russian drone strike, according to Ivan Fedorov, head of the regional military administration.
Yesterday, Friday, more than 20 people lost their lives as a result of Russian attacks in Ukraine. The deadliest strike occurred in Kryvyi Rih—the birthplace of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy — where Russian drones struck a shopping center, killing 16 people and injuring 130 others.
