U.S. President Donald Trump warned Iran that the United States is likely to carry out new military strikes on Wednesday night.
“We’re going to hit them hard tonight,” Trump told reporters during the NATO summit in Turkey, ahead of his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Earlier today, during his joint appearance with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, Trump stated regarding the truce with Iran that “as far as I’m concerned, it’s over. I don’t want anything to do with them anymore. They’re scum,” describing the Iranian leadership as “violent,” “liars,” and “crazy.”
Yesterday, the US announced that it had struck more than 80 targets in Iran in response to the attacks on three oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz, while also reimposing sanctions on Iranian oil.
“Yesterday we destroyed 28 ships; perhaps today we will destroy more,” the U.S. president said.
The U.S. and Iran are accusing each other of violating the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, which they signed in mid-June.
