A German woman died in a paragliding accident in the Austrian Alps, police announced on Saturday.

The 28-year-old was fatally injured on Friday when she struck a tree in a wooded area near the town of Neustift im Stubaital. A man hiking in the forest found the woman hanging from tree branches, unconscious, and alerted emergency services.

The causes of the accident remain unclear at this time.

Another paragliding accident occurred on Friday in the state of Tyrol. A 24-year-old German man was injured when he fell from a height of about 25 meters into Lake Aachen.

He was spotted by a boat, which pulled him out of the water and brought him to shore.
