A 61-year-old woman was killed, and two people were injured, one of whom is a child, in an attack at a school in Staskov, in northwestern Slovakia, emergency services announced.

The victim who died had been stabbed in the chest, emergency services clarified, adding that the two injured are a 44-year-old woman and a child, who is in critical condition. The two injured were taken to the hospital. According to local media, the attack was carried out by a student.
