In the final moments before the brutal death of Nikolai Palamarchiuk, a salesman originally from Moldova, who was brutally beaten by his employers in Turkey in September 2025, a security camera video—which was made public as the trial began regarding the events that took place in the industrial zone of the Basaksehir district—captures the scene.
The video shows four people—including the owners of the company where the victim, a father of two, worked—attacking Palamarchuk, throwing him to the floor and forcibly pushing him into an elevator to transport him to a room without security cameras.

There, according to the court documents, he was beaten for a long time, and they attempted—by torturing him—to force him to confess to the theft of which he was accused and for which they had set a trap for him.
The forensic report listed Palamarchuk’s cause of death as oxygen deprivation due to pressure applied to his chest and neck.
A total of eight people were arrested in connection with the case; during their preliminary interrogations, they each blamed one another for what happened to the Moldovan man.
Speaking to Turkish media, the victim’s mother said, “My son must have realized that something was wrong that day, because he called me. He told me: ‘Mom, I feel really bad; something’s going on at work. Everyone’s talking about something; they’re watching me.’ His worst fears came true. They suddenly attacked my son and took him to a room without cameras. Three people were beating him and fell on top of him, causing fractures to his chest. My grandchildren were left without a father. I hope they never see the light of day again in their lives. I hope they’ll never be able to go outside again.”
