A dashcam captured a stunning yet terrifying moment on Interstate 84 in Utah, USA, when a bolt of lightning struck the side of the road, just a few meters from a passing truck.
The incident occurred on September 22 in Weber Canyon, as severe thunderstorms were battering the area.

The video shows the moment a flash of lightning illuminates the sky and the lightning strikes with great force at the edge of the highway, while the truck continues on its way, narrowly missing the point of impact by just a few meters.

Despite the dramatic imagery, no injuries or damage were reported from this incident.
Experts remind drivers that during thunderstorms, they should avoid being out in the open and remain inside their vehicles, as cars offer greater protection from lightning than being outdoors.
