A tragic accident occurred on Saturday (August 8) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, when a helicopter crashed, killing all four people on board.
The victims were the pilot and three female tourists from Colombia—a 59-year-old woman, her 37-year-old daughter, and her 17-year-old granddaughter—according to the news website G1.

The helicopter crashed under unknown circumstances in Tijuca National Park, on a mountainside with dense vegetation.
Firefighters reported that the four occupants were found “charred,” and released images showing the burning helicopter in a remote location.

Rio Mayor Eduardo Cavalliere emphasized in a post on Platform X that he has asked the Brazilian Civil Aviation Agency to take immediate measures to ensure the safety of helicopter flights, the number of which is steadily increasing in this popular tourist destination.
