The Yemeni rebel movement Ansar Allah—also known by the surname of its leaders, the Houthis—which is aligned with Iran, announced today that it had struck various targets in southwestern regions of neighboring Saudi Arabia, including facilities belonging to the oil giant ARAMCO, in retaliation for Saudi airstrikes.
“Yemeni drones and missiles are pounding the Saudi enemy,” the movement said via Telegram, adding that the international airport in Abha, King Khalid Air Base, and ARAMCO facilities in Abha and Jizan.

Earlier, rebel health authorities had reported 14 dead and wounded in Saudi airstrikes in northwestern Yemen. Riyadh did not comment.
Among the facilities struck was a prison, and many detainees were taken to a hospital, while others remained trapped in the rubble, according to the Houthis, who stated that the “Saudi attack against Yemen” would not go unanswered, as stated by the movement’s spokesperson on military affairs, Yahya Sari.
