Ukraine is willing to halt attacks on Russian oil refineries if Moscow stops its own attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure, said today, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, noting that any steps to de-escalate the conflict must be reciprocal and backed by concrete guarantees.
Speaking on the Telegram messaging platform, Zelenskyy said he would continue discussions with European leaders today, while daily discussions are taking place regarding additional air defense packages, including ammunition for fighter jets.
Yesterday, U.S. President Donald Trump called on Ukraine to replace Zelensky, saying that “he absolutely must stop” targeting Russian oil refineries.
Zelenskyy stated that the death toll in the city of Zaporizhzhia in southern Ukraine had risen to 23, including four children, following a fierce Russian airstrike on Saturday.
