The Turkish Cypriot side announced the names of the five Turkish Cypriots who will participate in the Coordinating Committee of the Civil Society Consultation Mechanism.
According to a statement from the “presidency,” they are Ipek Borman, Errol Kaimak, Meltem Onurkan Samani, Arif Osum, and Cianogan Ozkan.
Borman is an academic and is already a member of the Turkish Cypriot leader’s Cyprus team; Kaimak is an academic and economist; Samani is involved in numerous bicommunal initiatives and the Center for Peace and Dialogue, and previously served on technical committees, Osum works on strategic communication issues and EU programs, and Ozkan, a political scientist, is a member of the Turkish Cypriot Youth Federation. The latter two are young and are also involved in bicommunal initiatives.
The same announcement adds that the two leaders will meet again in the buffer zone on Wednesday, September 2, at 3 p.m.
