The President of the Democratic Alarm, Anita Dimitriou, posted on Platform X in response to the official announcement regarding the visit of United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres, to Cyprus.
In her post, she describes the UN Secretary-General’s upcoming visit as a “significant opportunity,” emphasizing that it must be approached “with seriousness and responsibility.”

At the same time, he stresses that the priority should be to create the conditions that will lead to the resumption of substantive negotiations for the resolution of the Cyprus issue, based on UN resolutions and European principles and values.
In conclusion, the DISY President states that the party supports “every effort in this direction with consistency, credibility, and political will.”
