ELAM is calling for the cancellation of two more events scheduled to take place in the occupied territories, following the cancellation of the “NEXUS” festival, which was scheduled to take place in occupied Kyrenia.
In a statement, ELAM sends the message that “tolerance is over,” noting that “following our successful effort to cancel the “NEXUS” festival, which was to take place in our occupied territories, it has come to our attention that two more events are being planned in occupied Nicosia.”

As noted, this concerns the “Zamna” music festival, scheduled for October 10, 2026, as well as the soccer training camp organized by the Spanish soccer academy of Barcelona.
ELAM emphasizes that “it is unthinkable for such a major soccer academy, which is part of an EU member state, to organize sports activities in our occupied territories, and it is a disgrace that international events are being scheduled there. We reiterate to the organizers that the so-called “state” is the result of the brutal Turkish invasion and the ongoing occupation of our territories and is not a recognized state.”

At the same time, he is calling for the Spanish government to intervene to cancel the planned camp, as well as for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to take the necessary steps to cancel both events.
