Following Efthymios Diplaros’s statement, Yiannis Karousos weighs in on internal party developments within DISY, returning to the discussion with a new social media post.
The party’s Vice President, in his statement responding to the Deputy President of DISY, emphasizes that collective decisions must be implemented without exception, noting that they cannot be applied “à la carte.” At the same time, he reminds everyone that “the Democratic Alarm is in the opposition.”

Here is Yiannis Karousos’s post verbatim:
We agree completely. We make decisions collectively, through the party’s institutional bodies, free from personal ambitions, personal strategies, and political posturing.
And there is already a collective political decision that was made some time ago, which we must all respect: the Democratic Alarm is in the opposition.
Collective decisions cannot be applied à la carte—invoking them when they suit us and forgetting them when they do not serve our personal choices.
In 2028, when the time comes, the party will decide through its democratic and collective processes. And then that decision must be respected by everyone.
That is what consistency means. That is what collectivity means. That is what unity in action means.
