In a video lasting three minutes and five seconds, Averof Neophytou announced his candidacy yesterday for the 2028 presidential election and asked the Democratic Alarm supporters for a vote of confidence.
In his announcement, Mr. Neophytou spoke about transparency, the Cyprus issue, and the role of the Democratic Alarm in addressing the key issues facing society.
“Today I am announcing my decision to ask my fellow party members in the Democratic Rally for their vote of confidence for the 2028 presidential election,” Mr. Neophytou stated, seeking the DISY “nomination” to forge a new social contract with the citizens.
