The Democratic Alarm has outlined the next steps for the nominee who will be chosen for the presidential election.
The party’s Executive Committee met to discuss the procedures for selecting the Democratic Alarm’s candidate for the 2028 presidential election, as announced by the Democratic Alarm.
“For the first time in its history, the Democratic Alarm is opening the process of selecting a candidate for the Presidency of the Republic to all party members.”
At the same time, the Executive Bureau calls on all party members to participate “in this great democratic process of our party, of which we are all proud.”

It also calls on all party officials to ensure a healthy internal primary campaign, through which the Democratic Alarm will move forward with unity and a candidate with greatprospects for success.
The Executive Bureau will ensure the flawless organization of this electoral process—unprecedented by Cypriot standards—in accordance with the provisions of our Bylaws, as noted.
