The Greek Cypriot negotiator, Menelaos Menelaou, and the representative of the Turkish Cypriot leader, Mehmet Dana.
As a source familiar with the matter told CNA, the meeting went well; a comprehensive review of the issues took place, but nothing emerged that would alter the situation as we currently understand it. When asked about this, the same source stated that there is nothing new regarding the opening of new crossing points, while the documentation of areas of convergence continues.
The Greek Cypriot side proposed intensifying meetings in the coming period to lay the groundwork for an informal 5+1 meeting, including meetings between the two leaders once or twice a week, with the Turkish Cypriot side also expressing readiness to intensify talks, though no specific conclusion was reached.
No new meeting between Menelaou and Dana has been scheduled prior to the meeting between Christodoulides and Erciyuman on August 26.
