Will volt field its own candidate in the presidential election? How “sandy” ultimately affected it and the road to 2028

1. The President of the Democratic Alarm has shown the way toward unity by placing the collective interest above her personal ambitions. This political decision—a difficult one for her personally—ensured the participation of all candidates in the internal party process and their commitment to respect its outcome. Preserving the unity of the faction is a shared responsibility and priority.

2. The leadership calls on the two candidates and all Party officials to keep the tone civil and to focus on policy positions and proposals, avoiding personal confrontations and public disputes. Respect for ethics, institutions, and the rules of the internal party process is everyone’s obligation.

3. The leadership is committed to ensuring a level playing field for all candidates. It urges the members of the Party’s collective bodies to uphold their unifying role, making it clear that the candidate chosen by the thousands of members of the Democratic Alarm will be our common candidate and will have the full support of all of us.

4. We also call on all party officials and members who publicly express their views, whether through the media or through the party’s communication channels, to do so in accordance with the Party’s Code of Conduct, while emphasizing their respect for established procedures and the final outcome.

5. The Democratic Alarm will stand united in the 2028 Presidential Election, with a single candidate and a credible governance proposal. With victory as our goal, we will seek the citizens’ mandate to implement the Democratic Alarm’s vision and policies for our country.
