In the occupied territories, preparations are proceeding as usual for the Nexus electronic music festival, which will take place at the Kyrenia Castle on September 18.
Nicosia does not want this festival to take place, which is why diplomatic efforts are underway with Serbia, since the company organizing it, namely EXIT Festival, is based in that Balkan country.

Among other actions, MEP Loukas Fourlas is calling for the immediate and decisive intervention of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić to cancel this festival.

For the first time
According to the official presentation of NEXUS, this marks the first time the EXIT festival experience is being brought to Cyprus.
The headliner is Swedish DJ Eric Prydz, one of the most recognizable names on the international electronic music scene.
However, this is not the first time that Kyrenia Castle has been used as a venue for music events.
In the past, it has been among the historic venues that hosted events of the so-called “North Cyprus International Music Festival.”
