"Direct Democracy" is organizing a pan-Cypriot protest march against electricity prices on Saturday, October 17, in Nicosia, with a rally at Eleftheria Square at 4:00 p.m. and a march to the Presidential Palace, where the protest will take place at 5:00 p.m.
In a statement by party President Fidias Panayiotou, Direct Democracy calls on citizens to participate in the mobilization, demanding immediate and substantive solutions to the cost of electricity.
As he notes, high prices are a burden on households and businesses, adding that “this is a daily problem that affects everyone, regardless of how each person votes.”
