Cyprus “strongly condemns” the bombings in the Al-Hajjaj district of Damascus, which claimed the lives of civilians and injured many others, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a post on Saturday.
In a post on the X platform, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs states that Nicosia “strongly condemns” the bombings in the Al-Hijaz district of Damascus, which, it says, resulted in the deaths of civilians and the injury of many others.
“We express our sincere condolences to the families of the victims and wish a speedy recovery to all those injured,” it states, adding that those responsible “must be held accountable immediately.”
Cyprus reaffirms its support for stability in Syria as a vital element for regional security, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ post concludes.
