The first policy decision of the reshuffled Cabinet… the Boards of Directors of semi-governmental organizations.
The ministers gave the “green light” to the Advisory Council’s recommendations, which included names of individuals who had worked toward Christodoulides’ 2023 election, as well as individuals included on party lists with strong partisan ties from both DIKO and DISY.
New appointees to the presidencies of parastatal organizations are:
- Journalist Pavlos Pavlou at RIK.
- Nikolas Diomedes (electrical engineer) at the Cyprus Land Development Organization.
- Loizos Loizou, former Chairman of the Central Beach Committee, at the Cyprus Electricity Authority (AHK).
- Andreas Yiasemides, Certified Public Accountant, at the University of Cyprus.
- Award-winning composer, Artistic Director, and academic Marios Ioannou Ilias at the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra Foundation.
- And Alexia Georgiadou, an official with the Department of Urban Planning, at the Council for the Registration and Supervision of Contractors, Construction, and Technical Works.

The changes in the leadership of the semi-governmental organizations are not considered extensive, as seven other individuals continue to serve as chairpersons without interruption.
- Maria Tsiakka at CYTA (Chemical Engineer).
- Maria Charalambidou at the Urban Planning Council (Architect).
- Yiannis Ioannou at the Cyprus Olympic Committee (Director of a private company).
- Zinonas Apostolou at the PORT AUTHORITY (CEO of a private company).
- Despo Amerikanou (Attorney) at the Licensing Authority.
- Pantelis Voutouris at the Cyprus Theater Organization (THOK) (former university professor).
- And Andreas Karakatsanis (civil engineer) at the Technological University.
At the same time, Nikos Christodoulides appointed Dimitra Eleftheriou to the position of Chair of the “Foni” Council, a position that had remained vacant following Klea Papaellina’s appointment as minister in December 2025.
