Following July 13 and Olgin’s visit to Brussels, developments in the Cyprus issue are expected to be finalized, with the participation of Costa and von der Leyen. For now, Nicosia is waiting by the phone, with António Guterres in constant contact with his personal envoy. 

In Ankara, preparations are underway for the NATO summit on the 7th and 8th of the month, during which the Cyprus issue is expected to be discussed either openly or behind the scenes.
 
 The government is focusing on how the process will proceed, guided by the five-party meeting scheduled for late July or early August—which will lead to the resumption of dialogue.

In a social media post, the Turkish Cypriot leader stated that there is no solution plan as is being reported, but only ideas, writing that he supports the Secretary-General’s efforts.

not become pawns in provocations and games. I believe that our patience, composure, seriousness, and determination are now well known to everyone! The rights, future, equality, security, and protection of Turkish Cypriots are our sole concern.” ^{Tufan Erhürman, Turkish Cypriot leader}
The so-called foreign minister is directing his criticism at the personal envoy and her role. According to Ertuğruloğlu, with her article yesterday, the personal envoy exceeded the terms of her mandate.
  
 “What has changed now that she is engaging in dangerous, unrealistic power games? Or was she perhaps swayed by Mr. Erhurman? There is a risk of sliding into a dangerous process.”
 
In the occupied territories, however, consultations with parties and organizations are reaching a fever pitch at the prospect of a new five-party meeting.
